Millions of people eagerly anticipate the annual release of the “Gramin Dak Sevak” recruitment by the Indian Postal Department.

The Department of Posts has announced the Gramin Daak Sevak recruitment for this year (2024).

Reports indicate that more than “30 thousand vacant posts” will be filled through this recruitment process. The vacancies include positions for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) or Dak Sevak.

According to the GDS Online Engagement, Schedule 2024, the decision has been made to issue the recruitment notification in the second week of July.

All divisions must complete tasks like data entry, vacancy freezing, data entry re-checking, and issuing notifications within the specified time limit.

Who can apply?

For the post of Gramin Dak Sevak, candidates should have passed 10th with Maths and English subjects from a recognized board. Candidates should also have knowledge of working on computers and cycling.

The age limit is 18 to 40 years. Reserved category candidates should receive relaxation in the maximum age limit as per rules.

• Merit-Based Selection: Based on Class 10th marks. Higher marks rank higher in the merit list, ensuring an objective selection process.

Selection Process

The recruitment of Gramin Daak Sevak is done on the basis of merit of 10th standard. Apart from this, there is no written examination and interview etc. After the name appears in the merit list, the document is called for verification.

 ABPM Salary -Rs.10,000- 24,470
