Modi 3.0: Quick Start

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, heading India’s new government for a third consecutive term, started working on Tuesday as cabinet ministers and ministers of state entered their respective offices to take charge. The new Modi Government has action plan of 50 to 70 important goals in their first 100 days agenda.

Cabinet Ministers (the four big frontline portfolios stay the same)

Home Ministry to Amit Shah, Defense Ministry to Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitaraman to Finance Ministry and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar are the highlights. Total 71 Ministers took oath for different portfolio. Mostly previous tenure ministers got the same portfolio.

On Sunday, Modi conducted the first Cabinet meeting after his government was sworn in. He informed his ministerial colleagues that most of them would continue handling their existing responsibilities.

Fabulous Oath Ceremony

Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, appointed Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India at the magnificent swearing-in ceremony that took place on Sunday. Thirty cabinet ministers, 36 Ministry of State, and 5 Ministry of State (independent charge) from the BJP and its allies joined the party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government.

Modi’s real challenge now begins 

He has never headed a minority government kept afloat by a coalition of allies since he made his political entry as Gujarat chief minister.

His unimpeded electoral run, during which he won majority and never trailed in any election. This could have given rise to the god complex in him.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won its third consecutive term in the results of Lok Sabha polls declared on June 4. The NDA secured 293 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, with the BJP winning 240 seats.

It’s a Modi Only Government

The National Democratic Alliance NDA operated as a coalition in name, but in reality, Modi led the government. In actuality, the government was solely controlled by Modi.
